I am Sreenivasa Prasad, maternal uncle of Jayashree. Iam vice president of a educational institution in India imparting education to more than thousand girls every year. The school begins with prayer and yoga.
Children of today are the citizens of tomorrow. Good citizens are made rather born. Moulding the children emerges from parents. What they teach remains in child's mind for ever. They become assets to a society or a liability depending on what they learn. Parents play vital role in bringing up good citizens. In a way the terrorism accross the
world is a result of improper education of the children. Values of life can only be taught by devoted parents and teachers. There is a proverb . What cannot be mended while it is a plant cannot be mended when it becomes a tree. So also is the childhood. Here in India that is how emerged the gurukul system of education. Great cultural and traditional values were taught along with education till child attains the age of 16 years. That resulted in the emergence of great leaders and spiritual teachers like Swamy Vivekananda or Mahatma Gandhi. So bringing up a child as great citizens start at childhood. Mother is the first architect. Vedas describe mother as first God and father as second to her.
Jayashree my niece is a child of great value . She imbibed good manners and sound education from her parents. She was acknowledged as a brilliant girl in her school days. Her maternal grandfather was a great scholar and preacher who used to teach traditional values of life through various publications. Her mother learnt the basic values of life from her father and mother which she taught to her children. That made Jayashree to grow into a decent girl of great moral values along with higher education. She was recognised as a brilliant girl during college days as well as during her career development. She was acknowledged as good administrator and career based employee.
She got married into a family of intellectuals who valued her moral values . She moved to foreign land following foot steps of husband and managed the house well to the highest satisfaction of her husband and in laws. She gained motherhood after a delay as her husband's employment was shaky. She brought up her son Keshav  imbibing in him great values of life and traditional characters. Keshav was inducted into vedic style of living in a ceremony attended by friends and relatives from both sides in great number in India. Keshav was a admirer of Indian culture and learnt very fast all mantras and prayers in a short time.Though in a foreign country Jayashree observed almost all Indian festivals through out the year and got appreciation from neighbours. Many of Indian origin and foreign nationals attended these functions and enjoyed the tasty cuisine prepared for the occasion. I had expressed appreciation to her on many occasions for the enthusiasm expressed for keeping high the traditions and culture of our soul abroad. She was able to highlight the rich Indian values in a foreign land. My children during one of their visits to US visited her and found her exemplary love for the country appreciable. She took her parents through foreign land as well as many divine destinations in India. She was an ardent devotee of Krishna temple in Kerala and often visited the temple. Her collection of idols of Krishna and other Indian gods is commendable. Being admirer of Bhagavad Gita she rendered the verses on many occasions thereby  teaching it's values to her  neighbours abroad too. Her rendition of tour experiences in her own blogger showed her command over language and got great appreciation. It reflected her command over expressive power and eminence in admiring nature and aspects of its description.
I value her contribution as a mother and a loyal wife. Our scriptures define that gods live there where a woman is respected.I believe that Keshav could mould himself into a model person if he grows under his mother care.He needs motherly care to shine as a good citizen .
